Traditional Shetland Wooden Jumper Board for Blocking Sweaters

This is a brand-new, never-used, in-the-original-shipping-container Deluxe Jumper Board with feet, handmade by craftsmen in the Shetland Islands, Scotland, at the woodworking studio of Paparwark, which famously creates these heirloom knitting tools that last generations. 

This jumper board was purchased by Jennifer Daley but never assembled or used but instead has remained in its original packaging, looking for a new home. 

These jumper boards are made by hand, in the Shetland Islands, Scotland, are highly sought after, and difficult to obtain. 

If you have never washed a knitted jumper then put it on a vertical jumper board to dry, then you are in for a treat! 

With a jumper board, the washed jumper will block better and more accurately, and the wool will dry faster.

Traditional Shetland wooden jumper board used to block your wooly garments. Designed to fit multiple sizes using an adjustable pin method. Posted flat pack in a postal tube with assembly instructions and a link to an assembly video. Based on a traditional design that has been used in Shetland for generations. Made from Ash timber for great strength and durability. Location pins are stainless steel and therefore do not rust. The jumper board can now be be purchased with feet with means it can be free standing. The feet are also available for purchase and are sold in pairs and can fit all previous deluxe jumper boards.

Maximum blocking dimensions are 760mm width and 800mm in height.

This can block up to a 1520mm or 60 inch chest jumper.

This item has been lovingly kept in the design studio of Jennifer Daley, in the original closed container/tube, away from sunlight, away from dust, and in a smoke-free and pet-free environment.

Jennifer Daley paid the following for the jumper board that she is now selling:

In British pounds: £155 (for the deluxe jumper board) + £15 (for the wooden feet, which are essential so the board will stand upright) + £34 (tax) + £70 (shipping from Shetland, Scotland to the United States) = £274 total (which is about $366 USD)

The entire jumper board with feet, in its original container is now being sold for $300 plus shipping/handling.
