Knitting Jenny Patterns 123, 124, and 125 are part of Knitting Jenny Pattern Collection 13: Irish Aran Islands Inspired Cables.

The pattern designs were influenced by the historic knitting heritage of the Aran Islands, which includes wool traditions of knitting complex patterns with cables and other textured motifs.

Knitting Jenny Patterns 123, 124, and 125 include knitting patterns, motifs, and instructions in the following inclusive formats:

  • Charts
  • Written Instructions
  • Illustrations

The ski hats are knit circularly, and are constructed as follows:

  • Cast on, knit the brim, increase, knit the cable patterns of the head, then systematically decrease at the crown.

Knitting Jenny Patterns 123, 124, and 125 feature a natural white shade of Tahki brand Kashmir yarn, which is 75% merino wool, 23% silk, and 2% cashmere.

Alternately, a different wool brand——though similar yarn weight——can be substituted for Knitting Jenny Patterns 123, 124, and 125.

The Kashmir put up is 40 gram balls that include approximately 97 meters.

The finished Pattern 123 (lattice ski hat) weighs approximately 70 grams.

The finished Pattern 124 (lattice ski hat with central double decreases and pompom) weighs approximately 74 grams.

The finished Pattern 125 (jumper) weighs approximately 923 grams.

The following knitting needles are suggested:

  • 2.5mm, 16 inch circular knitting needle (for the hat brim and jumper neck ribbing)
  • 4.0mm, 16 inch circular knitting needle (for the hat head)
  • 4.0mm double pointed needles (for the hat crown)
  • 4.0mm cable needle (for cabling)
  • 4.0mm circular needles for the circumference of the jumper body and sleeves

The gauge for Knitting Jenny Patterns 123, 124, and 125 is:

  • 20 stitches and 26 rows to 4 inches (10 centimeters) over the complete textured cable pattern with knit and purl stitches, knit circularly with 4.0mm knitting needles, after washing, blocking, drying.

Sizing for Knitting Jenny Patterns 123 and 124:

  • To change the hat size, change the needles per the technical specifications for the adult head, specified in the pattern.

Sizing for Knitting Jenny Pattern 125:

  • The jumper pattern is 100% size inclusive. Knitting Jenny Pattern 125 utilizes a pattern writing technique that works with the knitter’s body measurements and knitting gauge, which enables knitters to tailor the jumper pattern for a bespoke, customized fit.
  • Before beginning the jumper, firstly knit the hat Pattern 123 or Pattern 124 as a swatch. The jumper pattern and design will be based on the knitter’s particular hat swatch gauge. The jumper pattern is fully adjustable to the knitter’s measurements, fit, and design preferences.

Knitting Jenny Pattern 125 is an Irish Aran Islands traditionally inspired fisherman’s jumper with allover lattice cable motif.

The jumper is knit circularly from the bottom up, following 8 steps:

  • Step 1: Knit a Hat as a Swatch
  • Step 2: Knit Jumper Hem Ribbing Circularly
  • Step 3: Knit the Body to Underarm
  • Step 4: Knit the Back Flat to the Neck
  • Step 5: Graft Shoulders with 3 Needle Bindoff
  • Step 6: Knit Neck Ribbing Circularly
  • Step 7: Pick Up Armhole Stitches
  • Step 8: Knit Sleeves from Armhole to Wrist

Knitters’ preferences can be accommodated in this versatile pattern.

This jumper omits shaping and is instead constructed in the historic manner of rectangles creating a garment.

To support knitting education and consistent, uniform stitch definition, the following chapters are included, titled:

  • Seamlessly Joining Circular Knitting
  • Water Splicing
  • Washing and Blocking

The book includes 15 illustrations and 29 pages.

The book is intended to be read electronically, in consideration of the environment.
