Knitting Jenny Pattern Collection 11: Icelandic Léttlopi Wool Ski Hats is published here.
The hats in this collection were designed with Icelandic sheep wool, which contains special fiber properties to enable knitting yarn that is lightweight, warm, durable, breathable, and water resistant, the perfect textile combination for ski hats.
Knitting Jenny ski hats are similar in styling and fit to a variety of traditional hats, including the beanie, Monmouth cap, skull cap, toorie, toque, watch cap, and woolly hat.
The Icelandic wool provides all the warmth and color and satisfaction we feel when creating a knitted object with stranded colorwork.
Our Knitting Jenny Fair Isle inspired patterns generally require tiny needles, but these wonderful Icelandic lopi patterns call for larger 5.0mm needles and ensure a faster knitting experience.
It was a joy to design these hats and to knit with the wonderful Icelandic léttlopi wool.
