Knitting Jenny offers textile history, knitting education, special events, and an extensive library of 127 knitting patterns that honor the rich traditions of wool craftsmanship.
Dr. Jennifer Daley, textile historian and knitwear designer, founded Knitting Jenny in 2005 to celebrate creative wool heritage. Many of her knitwear collections were crafted in her textile design studio in Fair Isle, Shetland Islands, Scotland, the historic namesake of Fair Isle knitting.

The Fisherman’s Kep Collection
Long associated with Fair Isle, Shetland Islands, Scotland, fisherman’s keps are hats of conical shape and colorful design. Historically a necessity for survival at sea for sailors and fishermen, keps are today considered an entertaining and interesting way to display a knitter’s skill for design and color.
