Opal, dahling, I've granted you a second chance.
Completed in June 2012

These socks were knit with Opal brand sock yarn.

Opal, dahlink, I've granted you a second chance. You did not fail me this time, unlike the previous socks I knit where you tried to slip two factory-fortified knots past me. I was so disappointed in you!

Don't you know, Opal, that we knitters notice and care about things like that? Knots during manufacturing are inexcusable. At about US$19 per pair, Opal sock wool doesn't come cheap.

So really, Opal, please up the ante. If I find another knot in your skein, then I'm going to write to your boss, Opal. Consider this a warning. I will write what my dad refers to as "one of Jenny's acid-pen letters."

Trust me, Opal, you don't want to be on the receiving end of one of my disgruntled-customer letters!

Meanwhile, the colorway is #1075. The fiber content is 75% superwash virgin wool and 25% polyamid for strength.

It's a nice, traditional colorway in a faux Fair Isle pattern with varying shades of gray and a splash of periwinkle striping.
