What to do with only 50 grams of sock yarn
Completed in 2011, the year I knit a "sock wardrobe" for my sister

My girlfriend was so sweet: She gave me 50 grams of luscious pinkish hand-dyed Lorna's Laces brand Shepherd Sock yarn, which is enough to make one complete sock. Lorna's Laces is posh yarn, so I was thrilled to be on the receiving end. Thank you, friend!

I then bought one skein of green for the cuff, heels, and toes. This is how to stretch 50 grams into a pair of socks.

The green yarn is Austermann brand sock yarn, purchased from the knitting shop, iKnit, in Waterloo, London.

This is good German sock yarn, and I will definitely knit with it again. It's everything I want and need from a sock yarn, and a great shade of green to boot.

The Austermann sock label states, "Das Original mit Aloe Vera und Jojoba Oil!"

Fiber content is 75% superwash wool, 25% nylon.
