Knitting on my favorite isle
Completed in May 2014

I purchased this golden yellow yarn in a wonderful wool shop on the Isle of Wight, just off Portsmouth on the southern coast of England. The Isle of Wight is one of my all-time favorite getaways with its fabled castle and seaside home of Queen Victoria.

I had never before run across this brand of French sock yarn, so naturally I was intrigued. The yarn is Bergere de France brand in the colorway 29617 "Imprim Jaun" (or "printed yellow"). The fiber content is 75% wool and 25% nylon, machine washable.

This is a fun-to-knit and durable yarn, much like our Regia. It's an interesting color addition to my own sock wardrobe.
