Sunshine yellow socks handknit in Denmark
Completed in September 2013

I purchased this undyed sock yarn from Yarn Undyed, this time last year, at the fabled Woolfest up in the Lake District, toward the Scottish border.

I love this yarn. It's a high-twist spin of 75% merino and 25% nylon for strength. Machine washable, as always.

I hand-dyed the hank with my favorite Jacquard brand acid dyes. The top photo indicates the appearance of the freshly dyed hank. You'll notice it's darker at the top and lighter on the bottom...I was trying to achieve a variegated yellow.

The last photo was taken on a recent trip to Frederiksborg Castle, just outside Copenhagen, Denmark. What a magical place, with splendid gardens in which to knit.
