Aquamarine striped socks for my sister!
Completed in July 2012

These socks represent Pair #66 in the madness that is my sister's sock wardrobe.

It's an embarrassment of riches.

This is Opal brand sock yarn in the colorway #1432.

The fiber content is 75% superwash virgin wool and 25% polyamid for strength.

I could not, for the life of me, get the stripes to match perfectly. I honestly think there was a defect in the print, or perhaps a little splice in the manufacturing, which I could not locate. It's really frustrating when I can't match the stripes perfectly!

I knit these socks while on a trip to Germany. Above you can see my knitting at the fabled Glockenspiel at the Marienplatz in Munich, with its 43 bells and 32 life-sized figures. It's all very fairytale-ish.

My trip report and Germany yarn crawl guide is available here, for your amusement.

While in Germany, I had big fun seeking out nice knitting shops. Who doesn't love a country that's sympathetic to knitters?
