Sicko

I like Michael Moore. He cracks me up. He's just so funny. I love his unabashed midwesternism. I love the fact that he grew up in Michigan and still lives there. He didn't sell out with fame and move south to a sunny clime. No, Michael Moore is what's good about America.

Of course he's opinionated. He has the right. Of course his movies are bias slants toward liberalism. He has the right.

This movie was interesting, in particular, because I have an acute interest in medicine. It seems I only ever need medical attention when I'm outside the States. I broke my arm tripping off the Tube in London. I broke my hand at a karate test in Tokyo. I was breaking wooden boards with a punch and my right hook was apparently too much hooked.

I was the only person in the moviehouse laughing out loud. I couldn't help it. Michael Moore is really funny. His clips of George Bush are hilarious (in a sad way, but funny just the same).

Just for the record, I am absolutely against socialized medicine. I believe everything should be privatized, including the post office and schools. I believe that true competition exists only in the private sector, and I believe that competition is what keeps organizations striving higher and higher. I believe socialism creates a slack atmosphere.

My two main experiences with socialized healthcare (in London and in Tokyo) were complete disasters. I would rather pay through the nose in America for good reliable cutting-edge healthcare, out of my own pocket, rather than getting it for free. It's just my personal opinion and just my personal experience.
