I don't generally enjoy movies about Africa. What's there to enjoy? It was, though, interesting to see Idi Amin's sense of humor and sense of hospitality come out. But, I remember reading about Idi Amin in Time magazine in the 1970s (In our house we always had Time and National Geographic and no television.) but somehow I never recall reading about his jovial side. This movie could have been better with a groovy 1970s soundtrack. I wish someone would explain to me the issues surrounding the usage of copyrighted songs in movies. Lastly, the costume designer could have pushed the groovy envelope a bit.
