Rendition

I do like movies about the depth and breadth of the American government. But I certainly don't like movies about torture. And this movie had some disturbing torture scenes.

It wasn't a great movie. It was interesting, though, in some aspects. It makes you wonder about all the goings on in government that we, as normal citizens, have no idea of.

Jake Gyllenhaal cracks me up in the movie. And granted, this is no comedy. But Jake always strikes the lucky cowboy pose, a la' Brokeback Mountain. It's the way he stands. It's the way he tries to look tough. It's just Jake.
