Hugh Grant always does such a great job of playing Hugh Grant. He is the perfect handsome cad. In this movie, he plays a washed-up, has-been singer. His character is so pathetic! But still likeable. And cute. And Drew Barrymore plays her own clumsy self. She too is likeable but not as likeable as she was in her best movies, Never Been Kissed and The Wedding Singer. Music and Lyrics is one of those movies that’s good to see on the unlimited movie card; I would have hated to have paid nine pounds to see it, though.
