Harry Potter
This is supposed to be a children's movie? If I had kids, I wouldn't let them near it. Not until they're at least, say, 18 and in college.
This is such a dark movie, and scary. Yes, I have seen the other Harry Potter movies, but I really can't tell them apart. I am not a big Potter fan. I have not read the books. I cannot repeat to you the names of the characters. I get them all mixed up.
So, let's talk about the costumes.
The main new evil lady in the movie (what's her name?) was always dressed in pink. That was kind of neat. Kind of clever. I wonder if her character was like that in the book.
Nonetheless, I bet the costume designer had fun with that. How fun is it to have to design, say, seven different outfits, all tailored, all pink. The same yet different.
I was told that there were good knitted items in the movie, and yes, I will agree, there are. And, there are some good snowy winter scenes, which of course require nice handknits. (There are few things I love more than snowy winter scenes. Especially if I'm indoors by a fireplace, knitting, with a nice hot cocoa or so.)
On many levels, this was the longest movie of my life. It just went on and on. I'm glad, though, that I made it through and did not walk out, because at least now I can see what all the hoo-ha was about. Not that I agree with it. Or buy into it. But nonetheless, I can indeed see why people are gripped on Harry; they can't seem to get enough.
