Review
Wasn't it just last week or so that I was complaining about Steinbeck, how depressing he is? How I couldn't take any more of his books? How even though I love his writing style, Steinbeck just brings me down, down, down, and who needs that?

Which leads me to ponder why it is that I even picked up this book, Night.

It's the true story of the author's experience during the Holocaust, and it's not unlike any other Holocaust memoir I've run across in the past. It's sad, to be true, a story that needs to be told, for sure. But I just don't need to be reading books like this right now. I need books to lift me up, not bring me down.

If you have any suggestions for happy, uplifting books to read, do tell!
