Review
I am ok with the fact that Dan Brown is a best-selling author extraordinaire. He gives people want they want: a readable book with an interesting plot, twists and turns, and short chapters for short attention spans.

This book takes place in Rome, and it centers around the so-called Brotherhood of the Illuminati. Once again, I can't say I appreciate Brown's anti-religion theme, and, specifically, his bashing of the Catholic Church. I don't like any of that at all.

What I did like, though, were the descriptions of Rome. And, the behind-the-scenes view of the goings-on at the Vatican. That, to me, was very interesting. I wonder, though, if it were at all true.

In the book, a character says, "Religion is like language or dress. We gravitate toward the practices with which we were raised. In the end, though, we are all proclaiming the same thing. That life has meaning."

That's interesting. In fact, this whole book was interesting.
