Knitted baby bonnet
Completed in July 2009

This baby bonnet pattern is from the book, One Skein Wonders, edited by Judith Durant. The pattern is called "Be-ribboned Bonnet", designed by Margaret Atkinson.

I knit this bonnet basically according to pattern, except I created pink i-cords instead of using woven ribbons, as the pattern suggested.

This bonnet is fully adjustable with three rows of eyelets, so, in theory, it should grow with the baby.

I don't know, though, how practical a hat it is. I need to get it baby-tested.

My gut feeling is that this bonnet is a bit chunky. It's knit with Mission Falls 1824, 100% merino wool, superwash, purchased from Patternworks online.

This bonnet was knit with leftover yarn from my first and only ever tea cozy. It's really nice yarn, and machine washable too, but still, a bit chunky for my liking.
